Department Overview: Cando is responsible for hiring, training and supplying personnel, as well as 2 locomotives and track maintenance equipment, to perform the switching operations and routine track maintenance work on a single shift, seven-days per week basis. Cando also performs part-time switching operations for Lafarge’s Bath plant using a 9TM Trackmobile for loading cement railcars. In early 1998, Cando commenced switching operations (unloading oil trains) for Ontario Power Generation at the Lennox Generating Station at Bath, Ontario.
