Orangeville Brampton Railway

The Orangeville Brampton Railway (OBRY) is a 55 km short-line railway operation involving a partnership between the Town of Orangeville, the local rail customers, CP Rail and the railway operator – Cando Contracting Ltd.

The OBRY mandate is to provide rail service to all industries in and around Orangeville and Brampton in the province of Ontario.

Department Equipment and/or Facilities:

OBRY interchanges traffic with CPR at Streetsville Junction in Mississauga, linking it to the North American Rail Network. Rail Operations are based out of Orangeville utilizing the Orangeville Train Station on Townline Rd.

The diverse scenery on the OBRY, described by rail historians as one of “the most scenic shortline railways in Southern Ontario” has been used for film shoots for commercials and motion pictures.
